My Coffee Fetish
Coffee—the sweet, sweet nectar of the gods. Who doesn’t love a good cup of Joe? It wakes me up and also comforts me when those hunger pangs hit too soon before dinner. And when the world came to a halt last year and I couldn't just run to the coffee shop, I had to search to find a super fresh, roasted and preservative-free coffee that knocks my socks off and makes me happy to be alive.
I tried many familiar brands before I found Coriolus Creek Coffee Kings Canyon blend. What makes this brand unique (beyond it’s incredible flavor) is that it’s freshly roasted, ground, packed and shipped within a week of my order to insure the freshest coffee experience. Every time I open the bag, I smell the warm, rich and earthy flavor of this medium roast Brazilian coffee.
Shopping for coffee at the grocery store, I really didn't consider that the length of time between processing and making it to my cup can be 3-5 months, which greatly effects the flavor. Why I would buy something that I now know is not as fresh as I deserve?
Another thing that really peaked my interest about Kings Canyon Blend is that it includes Coriolus Versicolor, a mushroom used by ancient cultures for centuries to support the immune system. A supported immune system helps my body to fight illnesses. And in the midst of these crazy times, I can use all the support for my immune system I can get.
My favorite coffee drink is blended with ice. My husband, however, loves that hot cup of Joe. Getting our favorite drinks at a coffee shop can cost a small fortune. But, after finding the Kings Canyon Blend, it didn’t make much sense for me to spend the time driving somewhere, waiting in line and emptying my wallet when I make my coffee at home—and it’s better for us.
So, to have a little fun at home, I found two recipes that are quick and easy to prepare, and it brings a little variety to our daily grind. Stick around—I'll be sharing them later this week.
My prayers were answered when I found the Kings Canyon Blend. It’s delicious, fresh, healthy and cost effective. I may even be caressing a cup of it right now. I'll never go back to store bought coffee again.
Besides, life’s too short to drink just-okay-coffee. Now, I have a question for you—what’s in your cup? Cheers, my friends!
